Sponsored by the UVM Interfaith Center
The annual Festival of Light & Dark honors, celebrates, and explores how different religious, philosophical, and cultural traditions orient around the changing of the seasons and the transition from fall into winter. Together we'll explore how the themes of light and dark, and the intersections between the two, are celebrated by different individuals and communities. It might be lighting candles for Hanukah, Kwanza, or Diwali, singing songs for Christmas or Solstice, or drawing close with family and/or friends to remind us of the relationships that keep us going through the cold, winter months.
The core of our celebration together is the opportunity to hear and/or share reflections, songs, dances, rituals or other creative offerings. If you are interested in being part of the Festival of Light and Dark by sharing your celebrations, reflections, or customs, please email interfaith@uvm.edu.
